Phileep

logo

Today’s featuring up and coming artist is a solo act that goes by the name of Phileep. He has a little bit of Bon Iver in him – maybe a little bit of Ryan Adams as well.

For your listening pleasure, I have embedded both a SoundCloud audio clip and a video of Phileep.

Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Skizzy Mars

Skizzy Mars is hitting the scene hard.

Check him out online.

We’ve embedded the video for his song “Profound” below.

Walk Off the Earth

logo

The band, Walk Off the Earth, are turning some heads with their cover of the Goyte song “Somebody That I Used To Know.”

There are a handful of major labels hoping to sign the band right now.

We’ll see what happens.

Until then, enjoy the video of the song.

Sleeping at Last

How does an unsigned artist get their song into a Twilight film?

Ask Ryan O’Neal. His project, Sleeping at Last, has found a spot on the blockbuster film despite being a nameless independent musician.

I guess dreams really do come true.

Here is a video version of the audio of the song (if that makes sense), “Turning Page.”

Lisa Scinta

I just found this bright young star. She just signed a publishing deal with Universal this week.

Here is a fabulous video of her covering BOB and Hayley Williams’ hit “Airplanes” from 2010.

Pretty good, huh?

Check her out on Facebook.

Laura Wilde

logo

A beautiful young girl by the name of Laura Wilde is our Friday feature of the week.

Laura has a promising future ahead of her. Her poppy/rocky sound is an interesting blend that her good looks can definitely leverage to reach imminent stardom.

Enjoy the embedded video of her rocking out below in the song that was in a movie featuring the Rock. How awesome!

Sail By The Stars

logo

By the looks of it, Sail By The Stars is trying to capture the “little girl” emo fanbase that so many have capitalized on before him. He seems to be perfect for fans of Owl City, nevershoutnever, and The Spill Canvas. He has the same look and sound. How far will he get? Who knows? In my opinion, his music still has a little ways to go.

You can be the judge by leaving a comment below after viewing the music video for “Cross My Heart” embedded below.

Zach Lockwood

logo

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Ryan Cabrera…!!!???

Oh wait, no it’s not. It’s another young spiky-haired blonde musician trying to make it in the pop world. However, Zach Lockwood has a country twang that separates him from his predecessors. As someone that absolutely hates country music, I must say that Zach is actually pretty good. He has quite a future ahead of him – especially with that hair.

Here is a video of Zach rocking out live with an acoustic guitar and a harmonica.
